Project Overview

Twisted Pair Productions provided turnkey technical production for the annual NAIDOC Week Ball, working with Triple A Media and Radio to deliver the event for the third consecutive year.

Held at the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane, the event welcomed more than 1000 guests for a gala dinner and celebration during NAIDOC Week. The evening brings together community leaders, artists, organisations and supporters to recognise and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, achievements and contributions.

Twisted Pair Productions was engaged to provide full production management, technical design and delivery of the event’s staging, audio, lighting, vision and rigging systems.

Production Requirements

Delivering a large scale gala event requires production systems that support both the formal program and the celebratory atmosphere of the evening.

For the NAIDOC Week Ball, the production needed to support:

• a stage environment for presentations and performances
• professional audio systems for speeches, music and entertainment
• lighting design to shape the atmosphere of the ballroom
• large scale vision systems for presentations and live content
• rigging infrastructure to support lighting and visual elements

The production design needed to create an elegant environment suitable for a gala dinner while supporting the performances, cultural presentations and formal program throughout the evening.

Technical Delivery

Twisted Pair Productions delivered full turnkey production including technical design, equipment supply, installation and on-site management.

Staging and Rigging

Staging systems were installed to create a central presentation area for speakers and performers. Rigging infrastructure supported the lighting and visual systems required to transform the venue space.

Audio Systems

Professional audio systems were deployed to ensure speeches, performances and entertainment could be clearly heard throughout the ballroom. The system was designed to provide balanced coverage for the large seated audience.

Lighting Design

Lighting played a key role in shaping the atmosphere of the evening. Carefully designed lighting systems helped transform the convention space into a visually engaging gala environment while highlighting the stage and key moments during the event.

Vision Systems

Vision systems supported presentations, video content and live camera feeds throughout the event, allowing guests across the ballroom to engage with the program.

The Result

The NAIDOC Week Ball continues to be a significant cultural event within the Brisbane community, bringing together guests for a night of celebration, recognition and connection.

Through the delivery of full technical production including audio, lighting, vision, rigging and staging, Twisted Pair Productions is proud to support the event year after year alongside Triple A Media and Radio.
