Project Overview
Twisted Pair Productions provided turnkey technical event production for a private launch dinner hosted by Gem Energy to introduce Project 100, developed in partnership with Hydro Tasmania and Tesla.
The event was held inside the Gem Energy warehouse, which was transformed into a dinner venue for invited guests, industry partners and stakeholders. The space was designed to showcase Tesla vehicles and Tesla energy storage systems while hosting a seated dinner and presentations.
Twisted Pair Productions was engaged to design and deliver the production infrastructure required to convert the warehouse environment into a functional and visually engaging event space.
Production Requirements
Transforming an industrial warehouse into a premium dinner venue required careful coordination between lighting, audio and event infrastructure.
Key production requirements included:
• lighting design to create atmosphere within the warehouse environment
• highlighting Tesla vehicles and solar battery installations on display
• audio systems for presentations and announcements during the dinner
• technical infrastructure to support the event program within the venue
The production needed to maintain a clean and professional environment while integrating the displayed technology into the overall experience.

Lighting Design
Lighting played a key role in transforming the warehouse space into a welcoming dinner environment. Carefully positioned fixtures were used to define the dining area while highlighting the vehicles and Tesla energy systems displayed throughout the venue.
The lighting design helped guide the guest experience while maintaining a polished and professional atmosphere.
Audio Systems
Professional audio systems were installed to support speeches and presentations during the event. The system ensured clear coverage throughout the venue while maintaining a balanced sound level suitable for a seated dinner environment.
Production Installation
Our team managed the installation and technical delivery of the event, working closely with the organisers to transform the warehouse into a functional event space.
Because the venue was an operational warehouse rather than a traditional event venue, additional planning was required to safely install production equipment. Engineering approval was obtained for the roof structure to ensure it could support the lighting and rigging required for the event.
Once approved, the production systems were installed and tested to ensure the venue was ready for guests, presentations and the display of the Tesla vehicles and energy systems.
The Result
The Project 100 launch dinner successfully transformed the Gem Energy warehouse into a unique event venue where guests could experience the technology while attending the private dinner and presentations.
