Project Overview

Twisted Pair Productions provided turnkey technical production for the on-track entertainment program at the annual Magic Millions event on the Gold Coast.

Working with the EventCo team, our role was to deliver staging, audio and lighting systems to support live entertainment held trackside as part of the race day experience.

Magic Millions is one of Australia’s most recognised thoroughbred racing and social events, attracting large crowds each year to the Gold Coast Turf Club. Alongside the racing program, live entertainment forms an important part of the event atmosphere throughout the day.

Production Requirements

Delivering live entertainment within an active racecourse environment requires production systems that can operate reliably while integrating with the race day schedule and venue operations.

For the Magic Millions on-track entertainment, the production needed to support:

• a performance stage positioned within the trackside event area
• professional audio systems suitable for outdoor audiences
• lighting systems to support live performances and presentations
• production infrastructure capable of operating throughout the race day program

The production also needed to integrate with the broader event environment while ensuring performances could be clearly seen and heard by guests attending the event.

Technical Delivery

Twisted Pair Productions delivered full turnkey production including staging, audio and lighting systems along with installation and technical support.

Stage Production

A dedicated stage was installed within the on-track entertainment area to provide a focal point for live performances and presentations throughout the day.

Audio Systems

Professional outdoor audio systems were deployed to deliver clear and consistent sound coverage across the entertainment area, ensuring performances and announcements could be heard by the audience.

Lighting Systems

Lighting systems were installed to support the live entertainment and create a visually engaging performance environment within the racecourse setting.

Our technical team managed installation and operation of the production systems, working closely with EventCo to ensure the entertainment program integrated smoothly with the race day schedule.

The Result

The Magic Millions event continues to deliver a premium race day experience combining world class racing with live entertainment for thousands of guests.
