Project Overview

Twisted Pair Productions provides technical event production for Run Army, a community running event hosted by the Australian Army and held at South Bank in Brisbane.

Working with the RSL Queensland team, our role has been to deliver the technical infrastructure required to support the event across the start line, finish line and main stage areas.

Run Army brings together thousands of participants, families and supporters to run in honour of veterans and service personnel. Twisted Pair Productions has been involved in delivering the event production for the past 4 years, supporting the continued growth of the event each year.

Production Requirements

Large outdoor participation events require reliable technical systems capable of operating across multiple event zones while supporting both participants and spectators.

For Run Army, the production needed to support:

• start line production infrastructure
• finish line presentation systems
• a main stage for announcements and presentations
• audio coverage across key areas of the event site
• video systems to support the event experience

The production systems needed to operate across the start line, finish line and main stage areas while maintaining clear communication with participants and spectators throughout the event.

Technical Delivery

Twisted Pair Productions delivered full production infrastructure including audio, lighting, staging, LED screens and camera systems.

Audio Systems

Professional audio systems were deployed across the event site to ensure announcements and event messaging could be clearly heard by participants and spectators.

This included distributed 100v line systems used to provide consistent coverage across the start line and finish line areas, ensuring runners could hear countdowns, instructions and event updates.

Lighting and Stage Production

Staging and lighting systems were installed to support the main event stage used for announcements, presentations and event hosting throughout the day.

These systems helped create a central focal point for the event while supporting the official program and award presentations.

LED Screens and Camera Systems

LED screens and camera systems were used to enhance the audience experience at the main stage. These systems allowed attendees to follow presentations and key event moments while creating a more engaging event environment.

Run Army continues to grow each year, attracting increasing participation from the community and supporters across Queensland.
